The potential analysis of the KAoA Kompakt programme is a multi-day assessment of strengths and competencies for pupils of international remedial classes. It aims to help young people (better) understand their own professional, methodological, social and personal potential with regard to working life through self-assessment and assessment by others. In eight exercises, the young people can discover their own interests, inclinations and possibilities and thus get clues for a possible career or study-oriented perspective. The evaluation of the exercises will be communicated in a personal feedback session at the respective school, if desired also accompanied by the parents. The potential analysis is followed by three one-day occupational field explorations in our in-house workshops. Here, the pupils are given both a theoretical and practical insight into the basic processes and activities of the chosen occupational fields by expert instructors. The concluding three-day practical course in a chosen workshop provides in-depth insights into the occupational field or occupational activity, always with a view to a possible start of vocational training in external companies.
