The primary goal of the WIRKT project is to improve the labor market opportunities of refugees and to enable them to integrate sustainably into the workforce. We rely on a holistic, resource-oriented approach and work with the participants to develop individual paths to training, studies, qualifications or careers.
Refugees aged 15 and over with a residence permit, permit or toleration can take part, provided they are registered in Duisburg and are not subject to an unrestricted work ban.
WIRKT is funded as part of the WIR program (Networks integrate refugees into the regional labor market) by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the European Union (EU) via the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus).
