The measure/project "Berufsstart Migrant*innen - Berufspraktische Weiterbildung" prepares for transitions into working life with its job-related offers and in-company internships - into work subject to social security contributions or, if applicable, into vocational training. The content of the measure covers four different objectives. These are: Improving (vocational) language skills, establishing competitiveness on the labour market, placement in internships with possible employment and placement in employment/vocational training. However, the main focus of the educational work is to compare the personal career planning of the individual participants with the realities of the German labour market and, if necessary, to show them new perspectives or alternatives.
The prerequisite for participation in "Berufsstart für Migrant*innen - Berufspraktische Weiterbildung" is an education voucher issued by the job centre and proof of German language skills A1, ideally A2.

Düsseldorferstraße can be easily reached on foot from Duisburg main station within 10 minutes. Go straight through the main entrance on Friedrich-Wilhelm-Straße towards the city centre. Walk past the Kantpark and turn left into Düsseldorferstraße. After about 150m you will find the building on the right hand side
